Bringing the Jungle Indoors!
With the coming of fall weather, gardeners are trying to decide what will make the cut and reside indoors rather than die a quick death when the first frost comes. This year, I took cuttings of most of my coleus, begonias and other non-hardy plants. I’ve already potted them up. I also brought whole pots inside. Luckily, We have a second house, that my husband uses as his office, with some good windows. Some of the elephant ears went there along with a canna that I’m trialing indoors. My husband asked for more coleus plants as he enjoyed having the color last winter!
Here’s a peek at my tiny plant room. Anyone want a chartreuse Boston Fern? I have divisions.

There is something deep within us that sobs at endings. Why, God, does everything have to end? Why does all nature grow old? Why do spring and summer have to go?
