Blizzard of February 2013
Well, the blizzard has moved northward, but it left 2' of snow on our property. I guess the garden finally has its protective blanket or more like a deluxe goose down comforter! I ventured out to take some pictures this morning, but I got soaked as the snow was over my knees! I can't seem to get warm again. I walked the whole way down our 400' driveway to check on how many trees might be blocking the way for a plow (if I can find one that's available). There are many huge cedar limbs broken off, but the driveway has mostly branches weighted down so heavily with snow that they arch over the drive and reach the ground. We'll have to try to get the snow off them. We had an 12' arborvitae fall down across the walkway going to the house. We'll need to get out the chainsaw for that one. Time to put on another layer and drink something hot!
