A SPRING TO REMEMBER!
Spring 2020 will be one season we will never forget! There were rumblings of a corona virus in China, and before we knew it, Covid-19 had become a part of our everyday lives.
A few days before self-quarantines became commonplace, I went to a favorite nursery with a friend. It was one of the first days in March and still quite cold and dreary here in New York. We just wanted to breathe in the tropical air and explore the plants in the greenhouse. Being around all those plants gives a boost to one's spirits, don't you think?
We didn't plan on buying anything, but there were trays of violas that looked so cheerful. So, we split a tray. Then, as we were leaving, we noticed the workers unloading a truck. The plants needed to be inventoried, but they let us purchase some primulas and a hellebore!
When I got home I realized that I wouldn't be visiting any nurseries any time soon, so I starting buying plants online! I was panicking that I wouldn't be able to grow my favorite coleus hybrids and other annuals. I ended up purchasing way more plants then I care to admit! I'm going to have a gorgeous hellebore collection when I figure out where to plant them!
